OUR STORY

Who is Popa Hodge? I'm proud to say that Popa Hodge is my grandfather.
He truly was a great man. He was a father of 10 kids and many grand kids.
By day Popa Hodge was a union construction worker and in the evening he
was known as the Watermelon Man. He had his own box truck and he
would drive down south to buy the watermelon and he would fill up his box
truck. When he got back in town he would sell half the load to the local
grocery store and the other half he would ride up and down the streets
yelling WATERMELON!!!!!!!! He eventually became known as the
watermelon man in the community. He also had his own convenient store.
Popa Hodge is the reason I am a serial entrepreneur. I have his business
sense in my DNA. So when I started this coffee business I felt it was only
right to name it after the man who showed me how to do business and be a
leader in the community. Now you know who Popa Hodge is to me and my
